When broke and in a rush, I generally avoid craft markets. Ok, truth be told, I’m always too broke to afford the stuff I’d like to buy at the craft market (i.e. I’d like to take everything home with me), and being generally indecisive in the face of so many things of beauty, my visits to such places are few and far between.
So, I ask a person I really like, what Kenyan item would be desirable. The response: “anything that will make my house look good”.
How exciting that hunt for “I-don’t-know-what, but-I’ll-know-it-when-i-see-it”. Doesn’t take long to see it, so I spend the balance of time allocated wading in wishful thinking… taking pics of stuff I wish I could afford …
What was that? What do I want for my birthday? ‘Tis the headrests I truly covet.
